Now you see me, now you don’t

I could never understand for the longest time how they found me. My mom, brothers and even my dad. At one point I figured they must have super powers. After all when I closed my eyes I turned invisible, right? I am not sure how I developed this imagination but for me at that time it was very real.

These are some of my earliest memories in my childhood. Before pre-school or much outside activity. There must have been something I watched on television that developed this imagination. I believe it was the old “PEEKABOO” game we play with kids. I took mine to the next level, “PEEKAGONE”.

I had some really good hiding spots and they must have played along at some point because this could last for hours of them looking for me.

The innocence of childhood and imagination. If only life could be so simple. Just close your eyes and “where did he go”poof! Invisible. “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I must admit I still have a moment or two where I turn everything and everyone off and close my eyes to escape just for a moment. My own personal invisible space where no one or nothing can get to me. Only now in those moments I am talking with God. Find your place and time to escape and communicate with God. He can always see where we are.
