Matters of The Heart 5

February is Heart Month

For a moment think about events in life that make you feel good. Those thoughts that warm your heart and bring a smile to your face. A memory that can always bring you out feeling better. Now hold on to it as long as you can.

I wonder why we don’t always work to keep our mind focused on positive things, even in bad situations. My instructor made a comment about reliving a moment in our life. If you had a chance to relive a moment in your life, what would it be?

Would you go back to a bad time and try to correct it or would you relive a precious memory? I’ve had some good days and those are the ones I choose to focus on. Times I would consider merry that still bring me joy even in tears. Especially when things are not working how I want them to.

In the word of God, Proverbs 17:22 writes “A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

Now I understand why Merry is connected to Christmas.
